Optimism (though I'm thrilled about Washington D.C. this may be closer to home)

if it's a house of cards
doesn't it have to collapse?
but doesn't the half of the yard
darkened on full moon shadow
hoard & house & highlight
fireflies?
always a flame
folded within the bleakest black chamber?
